"So pleased with her portrait of Leo.

Annie Carvalho does amazing work.

It's great to follow the processes.

What a talent!"

Lori - Leo's mom

"I am blown away on how beautifully Annie painted my cat, Emily, in her portrait. The portrait came out amazing, so much depth and attention to detaiI. Annie is a very talented artist, I especially love how skillfully she captured Emily's pretty eyes."

Ariane - Emily's Mom

"Annie, Oh my... how do I begin to thank you for the beautiful rendering of my canine partner Bella?  She has such mottled and mixed coloring, which you captured in minute detail.  Her face is so expressive, which is something that I've always loved in my dog.  I can see right through the dimensions of her eyes.  I treasure this forever art."

Thomas Edmonds - Bella's Dad

"Annie is the most amazing artist. She re-created a picture of my beloved Chow, Kefa. She captured every bit of his personality. I look at the drawing and I feel his presence...she captured his soul. Annie shares every step of the drawing process with you, so it is possible to understand what an incredible talent she has."

About Framing

I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. It's easy.

"Annie has captured the pure essence of my girls, Shiloh and Zoey. I am blessed to have such an incredible portrait of my pups in my possession. Annie’s attention to detail is second to none. The amount of time and love she puts into each and every stroke reflects not only her pure God-given talent, but also her passion for our pets, our fur babies. It’s a true privilege and honour to be able to share with you, my thoughts and thanks to Annie."

Tracy - Shiloh and Zoey's Mom

Framing a portrait can be a very personal thing, so I've chosen to leave that to the pet owner.

Inexpensive but very nice framing can be found at craft stores such as Michaels or at art supply stores such as Dick Blick's.

These come pre-matted, in various colors and styles, and it's just a matter of adding the portrait to the frame. Prices range in the $20-$40 range.

The same stores often offer professional framing. Prices range from $250 up in the Portland, Oregon area, with 50% coupons being offered often.

A private local framer might be your best option. Here in Portland, I found prices to range between $125 to $300 and up.

Of course, you can choose any frame you like. However, I think my pet portraits look best with a 3" light colored matte and a simple, slender frame.
